About Our Charity

Volunteers and staff work together to fulfill the mission statement of Renfrew and Area Seniors' Home Support. We are a non-profit, charitable organization that has been providing volunteer-based support services for seniors and adults with disabilities since 1987.

Providing practical volunteer-based services that allow seniors and adults with disabilities to remain as active as possible for as long as possible in their own homes and communities. 

Services

Non-Urgent Medical Transportation ensures that our clients are able to get to necessary out-of-town medical appointments easily, safely, and economically.

Home Maintenance provides access affordable help with light property maintenance

Frozen Meals provide 40% of daily nutritional requirements that are economical, tasty low fat, low sodium meals that are easy to prepare. Delivered free of charge by volunteers. 

Grocery Program In co-operation with the Renfrew Metro Grocery store, we offer assistance to people living in the town of Renfrew who are unable to do their grocery shopping personally.

Friendly Visiting one-on-one contact visits helps to alleviate loneliness and stimulate interest in quality of life by providing friendship and ongoing communications, two important ingredients for healthy living.

Telephone Assurance helps to ensure the safety and well-being of people who are living alone or spending a lot of time on their own.

Client intervention and Assistance forms assistance, assistance with access to information and general advocacy.
