Who We Are
Founded in 1969, by a grassroots group of concerned parents of young adults with disabilities. Their progressive vision realized a home-like environment for young adults to live away from their parents and have the support they needed to lead fulfilling and independent lives. Pioneering an operating philosophy of choice, independence and community inclusion long before federal legislation was implemented recognizing Human Rights and Disability Rights.
What We Do
Today, with over 40 years of expertise in providing responsive care to the diverse needs and preference of our residence. Overseeing two licenced facilities, one in False Creek, operating a 24 private room full care facility, and one in Steveston, providing 10 units, both providing 24-hour care assistance.
Our operating model stands out with our philosophy of care, with custom life enhancing activities, supportive programs, social & community integration, recreation, supporting independent living, all work to improve the wellbeing of our residence. Operating from a caring culture of highly committed staff, Board, and a multitude of volunteers who all share the same vision for our residence. We are community driven and a valuable resource and teaching facility for health professionals and practicum students. We stand out with our custom care that empowers residence to strive for the best quality of holistic wellness.
