The Revelstoke District Health Foundation was established in 1983 for the purpose of encouraging individuals and organizations to make donations for health related projects and activities in the community. Activities of the Foundation include equipment purchases, education in the field of health for students and medical personnel in the form of scholarships/grants, grants to improve the comfort and general well-being for residents at Mount Cartier Court (Revelstoke's Long Term Care Facility). Recent projects in 2020 and 2021 are:

- Covid-19 pandemic response - a grant to purchase PPE (masks and sanitizer) for the non-profit sector organizations, collaboration between Kawakubo Japanese Restaurant and the Canadian Medical Association to purchase a Hamilton T1 portable ventilator, facilitate a grant from Speers Construction and Shade Sails Canada to sew protective neck guards for local hospital medical personnel, local radio ad campaign to educate public on how to reduce spread of covid-19

- collaboration with Revelstoke Credit Union, the Revelstoke Hospital Auxiliary and Shade Sails Canada purchase and erect a shade sail at Mount Cartier Court

- a grant to support Revelstoke Hospice Society for redesign of their website

- a grant for education of staff from Revelstoke Options for Sexual Health Clinic

- $22,000 in scholarships/bursaries for 18 students enrolled in health studies

- a permanent bus shelter for the Mount Cartier Court bus

- other medical equipment: blanket warmer for Mount Cartier Court, a pediatric laryngoscope, upgrade of audio-visual hardware in all 3 cottages of Mount Cartier Court
