The Richmond Hill Community Food Bank is an independently operated, non-profit organization that was established in 1986 to provide temporary emergency food assistance to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. Today, the Food Bank serves approximately 4,000 people each month, and demand for services continues to increase year after year. Since becoming a charitable organization in 1991, the Food Bank has remained committed to ensuring that no one in our community goes hungry during times of need.
The strength of the Richmond Hill Community Food Bank lies in the extraordinary generosity and support of the community. Residents of Richmond Hill, Vaughan, and Maple, along with corporate partners, faith groups, schools, local businesses, and community organizations, play a vital role in helping us fulfill our mission. Guided by an Executive Director, supported by more than 80 dedicated volunteers, and governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, the Food Bank has built a strong reputation for compassion, accountability, and service, making a meaningful difference in the lives of thousands of people every month.
