About RIGHT TO PLAY
Protect. Educate. Empower.
That’s what we did for 4.7 million children last year and what drives us every single day.
At Right To Play, we use the transformative power of play to help children heal, learn, and grow. Our programs protect children from the impacts of war and abuse, equip them with knowledge to stay healthy, and open doors to education so they can build brighter futures for themselves and their communities. Because Play Changes Everything.
We are a global leader in children’s learning and well-being, working in 13 countries around the world: Mali, Mozambique, the Palestinian Territories, Uganda, Rwanda, Senegal, Burundi, Canada, Pakistan, Tanzania, Lebanon, Ethiopia, and Ghana. Each faces unique challenges but in every one, we’re creating spaces where children can learn, laugh, and thrive.
Every year, we reach millions of children in some of the world’s most challenging environments, helping them stay in school, overcome discrimination, heal from trauma, and gain the confidence and skills they need to shape their own futures. We do it all through play, one of the most powerful tools for learning and resilience that every child possesses.
At home in Canada, we work in partnership with over 80 Indigenous communities to deliver weekly, play-based programs that nurture self-confidence, support physical activity, provide healthy food, offer mentorship, and help kids connect to and celebrate their cultural identity. As a proud partner, we are deeply committed to Truth and Reconciliation and to co-creating programs that honour Indigenous knowledge, languages, history and traditions.
