One runner. One mission. One life at a time.
Brody Haight, a long time supporter of Rising Angels, is undertaking an incredible endeavour to support our mission.
This July, he's taking on the ultimate challenge—the QMT 135 Ultra, a 137-kilometer race through the rugged mountains, dense forests, trails of Quebec. With 6,000 meters of elevation gain, technical climbs, night running, and extreme terrain, this race represents more than just physical endurance—it’s a symbol of the journey that survivors of human trafficking take every day as they fight to reclaim their lives.
We call this campaign Running for the ONE. Because for every mile covered, we run for one more woman, one more girl, one more survivor who deserves hope and healing.
Why Brody Runs
Between 2011 and 2021, Canadian police reported over 3,500 incidents of human trafficking.
97% of victims were women and girls
91% knew their trafficker
Behind each statistic is a story. A person. A soul. This run is dedicated to those stories.
Brody aims to raise $30,000 to support our grassroots organization that mentors and supports women affected by commercial sexual exploitation. Our work brings physical, emotional, and spiritual restoration to survivors through:
Weekly mentorship and support groups
Trauma-informed crisis care
Safe environments and basic necessities
Family support for parents and loved ones impacted by this trauma
Public education on the realities of exploitation
