About RIVER PARK CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH OF CALGARY
River Park Christian Reformed Church was started in 1952 when a like-minded group of families decided to form a new congregation of the Christian Reformed Church (CRC).
The Christian Reformed Church has its roots in the Protestant Reformation of the sixteenth century. The Reformed churches flourished throughout Europe. In the middle 1800s, some of these Reformed people from the Netherlands moved to the United States, and in 1857 they started the Christian Reformed Church in North America. You can check out more of the history of the CRC at http://www.crcna.org/pages/history_of_crc.cfm
Already in its early days, River Park Church was a group with a strong emphasis toward outreach ministries in the community. Today, we are a diverse community of faith that seeks to live out the way of Jesus Christ in our world.
