About RCMPI

RCMPI was founded in Guelph, Ontario, in 1978 through the efforts of a local group that recognized the need for a musical theatre company in this area.

RCMPI is a volunteer organization that has presented many fabulous musicals due to its dedicated, motivated and talented members as well as the support of the community. 

Our Mission

The core of our programming is the presentation of three musical productions.

Our largest production in the Fall serves to bring community together. Our Spring production is intended to further develop artistry and to foster leadership skills in new directors through the presentation of more thought‐provoking or lesser known works. Finally, our Winter production focuses on providing artistic opportunities for the many talented school‐aged youth in our community.

RCMPI is a volunteer‐run, multi‐generational charity comprising members from as young as 6 to seniors into their nineties. Our productions involve many different aspects of the arts, including dance, music, acting, visual art, and design. These are all elements vital to theatre. Via this multi‐disciplinary approach we foster relationships that hone skills and build a sense of community, both internally in our organization and as a part of the larger Guelph community.
