RPlaces Transition Centre is a peer-support agency that seeks to support individuals as they navigate the complexities of mental health and addictions.  RPlaces offers free anger management and self-esteem classes so members of all walks of the community can attend.

During our initial intake process, the most important question we ask each individual to outline three goals that they hope to achieve over the next year. Through this, we are able to refer participants to our community partners and other agencies, and support each participant in reaching their outlined goals. We are constantly looking to fill in the service gaps that are missing to further help our community.  

We believe it works! We don't want to be defined by addiction, mental health and concurrent disorders. We found  that there were things missing in our lives: confidence, a sense of fulfillment, and the will to move forward in a  positive direction while overcoming stigma. We needed something to put us on the right direction to succeed in  progressing forward. We built this agency to meet those needs.  

When you're just starting the recovery process, it can be a difficult time; it is so easy to fall back into old patterns.  For those with the will power and commitment to complete our programs, we see very positive results. When you  get a second chance at life, the feeling of being able to hold your head up high with confidence and pride is hard  to describe. You can see and feel the happiness it creates. That is why we started this agency.
