Founded in 2012, Sacred Fire Productions is a non-profit Indigenous arts organization.
SFP believes in the revitalization and reclaiming of Indigenous arts and cultural practices that are traditionally rooted in the communities. Through an approach that fosters intercultural exchange and dialogue, we wish to contribute to a better understanding of First Nations, Inuit and Métis cultures and to a positive attitude towards them.
Our primary mandate is to contribute, through various strategies, to the emergence of an Indigenous cultural ecosystem to address the socio-economic barriers faced by Indigenous artists and youth. Our initiatives also serve as a springboard for cultural education and nation-to-nation reconciliation. Impact:
Over 80 exhibitions, activities and cultural events since the Ashukan Cultural Space opened in 2015;
Over 100 Indigenous artists and artisans who have worked with us since the beginning;
Over 1 million dollars distributed to Indigenous cultural creators.
With vigor and passion, Sacred Fire Productions has been on all fronts to promote and support Indigenous cultural creators.
