St. Raphael’s is a grassroots charitable organization with a dual vocation: a 12-bed palliative care home and the first palliative day centre on the Island of Montreal. We offer free, high-quality palliative care in one of the most densely populated areas of Montreal to people living with an incurable illness. With respect and compassion, we welcome people from all walks of life, regardless of their social condition, ethnic origin, sexual orientation and gender identity or religious beliefs.
Our Palliative Care Home
St. Raphael’s takes a holistic approach to care encompassing the physical, emotional, social, psychological and spiritual well-being of each patient while also supporting the informational and emotional needs of those closest to the patient.
The focus of the health care team is to provide comfort to the patient, rather than placing emphasis on curing a life-limiting illness.

St. Raphael’s day centre offers a warm and inviting space for people with a life-limiting illness to come together, share their experience and find comfort.
