Samaritan's Purse is responding to an outbreak of the world's deadliest virus, Ebola, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Working through our field office in Bunia, we are operating an Emergency Field Hospital specially adapted to become an Ebola Treatment Center with capacity for as many as 50 patients at one time. We are also working to provide life-saving education to health care workers and community members to halt the spread of this awful disease. Medical professionals from our Disaster Assistance Response Team are among a small global group of humanitarian workers with training and capacity for this type of specialized medical response.
