- Five airlifts have carried hundreds of thousands of pounds of relief materials
- We are operating a 56-bed Tier 3 Emergency Field Hospital in La Guaira, treating thousands of patients
- Shelter tarps, large family tents, blankets, solar lights, and hygiene items are being distributed through church partners, and we are providing clean water through two community filtration systems.
Background: On Wednesday, June 24, two earthquakes — one a magnitude of 7.2 and the other 7.5 — struck in north Venezuela just a minute apart. Buildings crumbled in moments, trapping a yet unknown amount of citizens in rubble. The death toll is expected to be in the thousands. This is Venezuela's worst earthquake disaster in more than a century.
