SAMPRADAYA Dance Creations’ work is based in classical form of bharatanatyam. Yet its versatility and strength lie in its diverse innovative inter-cultural works. The dynamic work of the Company is inspired by Artistic Director & Founder Lata Pada, who captures the ability of dance to excite the imagination of audiences, which becomes an agent for change in society, reflects the hybridism of our lives and transcends the borders of culture, religion and ethnicity. Inspired by the rich traditions of South Asian performing arts, the works of SAMPRADAYA bridge the vibrant continuum of traditional and contemporary, invigorating the classicism with fresh meaning, both in its movement and experimental themes. At the core of the Company's artistic vision is the belief that dance is a powerful vehicle to communicate the magic, beauty and mystery of life.
