On average, every six days a woman in Canada is killed by her intimate partner
In Canada, it is estimated that one out of every four women over the age of 18 will be sexually assaulted
Emotional and economic abuse reinforces physical and sexual violence. One in five Canadian women experience some form of emotional or economic abuse in their intimate relationship

We believe that violence and oppression must end because all women and children have the right to live free from violence and/or threats of violence. This is a human right.

Violence against women is a socio-political issue, reinforced through systems and institutions therefore all persons living within our local, national, and international communities share responsibility for ending this violence.

We are a part of a global community of women and when working for equity for women, we are working for equity for all.
