COVID-19 Cancer Patient Support Hub

The COVID-19 pandemic has magnified the already widespread need for many improvements within our healthcare system. These improvements include bringing virtual support to patients during COVID-19 as many across Canada have witnessed increased demand like never before. Our mission with the COVID-19 Cancer Patient Support Hub ( the HUB ) is to bring support to cancer patients both virtually with resources and mental health resources and stress relief by helping patients with their daily needs, such as our subsidized taxi programme in certain regions. 

The COVID-19 Cancer Patient Support Hub is managed by a Task Force of non-for-profit patient groups across Canada providing cancer patient support. 

Our mission is to provide Canadians a wide variety of cancer patient supports to ensure they have access to mental wellness and practical support and information for the most urgent and immediate mental health and practical issues they are facing as a result of COVID-19. The COVID-19 Cancer Patient Support Hub includes mental health and wellness supportreliable information and resources, and practical support for meeting basic needs such as access to food delivery, travel support, and digital connectivity.

We are getting a lot of positive feedback about our HUB and the unique approach to complementary healthcare supports and we wish to continue and expand this support.
