Artists for Kids supports art education and the legacy of Canadian art and culture.
By bringing together Canadian artists with teachers and students, artists share their insights, abilities and stories, teachers enrich their skills, students explore their own talents and develop their own creative problem-solving skills, and we all benefit from the ongoing legacy of Canadian art.
We deliver a range of programs that bring vibrant art education to kids in our community. We seek support to extend our ability to reach those young people who would otherwise not experience the beauty of art.
Our Outreach Program, for example, brings a master art teacher and a work of art to elementary schools. Through a curriculum-supporting program, students learn about art and an artist, while exploring visual elements and techniques. The students receive an inventive and inspiring art lesson aligned to their curriculum, and the teachers discover new ways to incorporate visual arts into their lesson plans.
We offer a breadth of programming that is always supported by fully accredited art teachers. The impact our programs have on young people can be life-changing.
