SPAO’s Coming of Age
This year marks SPAO’s 20th anniversary, two decades of transformational change in Ottawa’s photographic arts community. In that time, we’ve grown in remarkable ways: a new home, new programs, and a thriving, ever-growing community. Yet as we reflect on all we’ve built together, we’re reminded that parts of our home have yet to be completed.
To mark this 20 year milestone, we are launching a special anniversary campaign to complete the final touches to our building, including the installation of two permanent signs, one for each entrance. The temporary banner that has faithfully served us for nearly a decade will come down, making way for a beautiful, enduring sign that gives SPAO the visibility and presence it deserves. It will be the finishing touch our building needs as we recognize twenty extraordinary years of art, creativity, and community, and look forward to 20 more.
We’re aiming to raise $15,000 to complete the SPAO Photographic Art Centre. Your support will ensure our home continues to inspire artists for years to come.
