Since 1983, the Search and Rescue Society has been available to assist families who have loved ones missing in BC’s wilderness and waters. When traditional methods have not been successful we may be able to assist in providing resolve by providing unique specialized techniques and resources that no other single agency can provide.
Every missing person deserves to be found and every family deserves closure.
All services provided by our Society are provided at no cost to families. Being non-government (NGO) our operational costs are not funded by the government and our response costs are not a burden on the taxpayer. We are a registered charity, direct access, 100% volunteer, community support Organization that relies on the generosity of others.
SARBC is proud to be a Project Lifesaver® response agency, the BC Provincial Coordinator and the Western Canada Air Training Facility for this proven lifesaving program.
From keeping our communities most vulnerable safe, to providing closure for the families of a missing loved one, SARBC has been there. Often copied, never duplicated.
