Search and Rescue Society of British Columbia (SARBC)

Registered Name: SEARCH AND RESCUE SOCIETY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA

Business Number: 124376898RR0001

Since 1983 the 100% volunteer Search and Rescue Society of British Columbia has provided specialized search and rescue services free of charge to those who have needed it most. From keeping our communities most vulnerable safe, to providing closure for the families of a missing loved one, SARBC has been there.

Along with SARBC's Ministry of Education approved Lost in the Woods© child survival program, SARBC also offers Project Lifesaver® to those most at risk. This is a proven international life saving program.   SARBC is proud to be a Project Lifesaver® response agency, the BC Provincial Coordinator and the Western Canada Air Training Facility for the Program.

As of 2017 SARBC has received 19 rescue commendations, issued by Project Lifesaver International®, for lives saved. Those lives saved ranged from Children with Autism to Seniors living with Dementia.

In conjunction our alliance partners, SARBC is able to offer specialized human detection resources to aid in the resolve of a missing person incident that are simply not normally available for the ground search effort.

It may be infrequent that such specialized resources are required to locate a missing person but every missing person deserves to be found and every family deserves closure.

SARBC is a registered charity and NGO community service provider.  We receive no operational financial support from tax revenues.  SARBC operates solely on the generosity of others.

Our Services exist to help save lives, without your support we can’t.

Please help us to help those who really need it.  Together we can bring them home.
