The Society for Equine-Assisted Services NS (SEASNS) is a non-profit organization that supports the physical, social, and emotional well-being of persons (primarily youth) with disabilities by providing access to therapeutic horseback riding and other equine-assisted services. SEASNS was recently created from the former Hinchinbrook Farm Society, which was founded in 2010 and currently supports approximately 40 youth in accessing services at Hinchinbrook Farm in Blockhouse, Nova Scotia. SEASNS intends to expand equine-assisted services from the Lunenburg region to youth across the province, as well as to continue supporting access to the healing power of horses locally on the south shore.
