About SECHELT PUBLIC LIBRARY ASSOCIATION

The Sechelt Public Library Association is a non-profit society providing library services to the lower Sunshine Coast - a resident population of approximately 15,000 citizens and to the thousands of visitors who vacation here on a regular basis. We maintain a collection of popular reading and learning materials, e-books, learning databases, computer workstations, and WIFI service.  Children's programs are offered on a regular basis.  Operational funding is provided by local and provincial government.  Funds for capital costs including renovations must be raised separately.

INSPIRE  LEARN  GROW  GIVE  Sechelt Public LIbrary Capital Campaign

It has been 20 years since the Sechelt Public Library was built, and during that time, use of the facility has dramatically increased. The Library has faced significant infrastructure issues in the last few years. The purpose of this renewal project is to create a new, modern library model to satisfy library users’ changes in information retrieval in the modern age.

Sechelt Library’s Inspire Learn Grow Give Capital Campaign provides:

  • New laptop and reading areas
  • Relocating the Teen & Children Zones and services
  • Attractive and accessible front entrance & space efficient service counters
  • New accessible shelving that can be moved for flexibility & efficiency
  • New washroom entrance from inside the Library

Your donation makes a difference by providing materials, programs and services that enrich and inspire all Sunshine Coast residents.

We want to thank you very much for supporting the Sechelt Library.
