About SEMIAHMOO FAMILY PLACE

Semiahmoo Family Place is an independent non-profit family resource and drop-in centre in South Surrey, serving families with young children. We provide a safe and nurturing play space for families to connect, grow, and thrive together. Our trained facilitators engage with families to offer support and refer them to services throughout the community.

We have served young families in South Surrey, White Rock, and neighbouring communities since 1991. Over 33 years, we have seen firsthand the positive impact our programs and services have made on the lives of countless families. As our families' first point of contact, we deal with many urgent and specific needs.

We are based in the fastest-growing community of young families in the Lower Mainland, and we need to stay strong and grow to meet our communities needs for connection and support. During the pandemic, we lost some significant funding streams and are relying on the community we serve to partner with us now.

With your help, we can expand our reach and provide even more families in our community with the support they need to succeed. You will support programs such as Family Place, Baby Place, Nature Mornings, and Community Service visits, through which families will benefit from increased mental health wellness, connection with vital resources, and educational opportunities in child development.
