ShelterBox is a global community with a shared purpose – no one without shelter after disaster. When homes are torn apart and lives destroyed, we’ll be there.
ShelterBox provides emergency shelter and aid essentials at times of disaster, conflict and climate crisis. Because shelter is the foundation for life. A foundation for survival, stability and dignity. Enabling people to take steps towards recovery.

What We Do
We work with disaster-affected communities to provide the emergency shelter, essential items, and training needed to support people in the long process of rebuilding their lives.
Every disaster is different, so we have a flexible approach. We listen and learn from the communities we work with to make sure we provide the right support.
Since ShelterBox began in 2000, we have supported over three million people in around 100 countries. That's about 300 people a day.
Note: To be as effective as possible in providing immediate help to families in most need, ShelterBox Canada does not accept donations designated to a specific country or disaster.
