ShelterBox’s emergency team is responding to the aftermath of the powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Türkiye

ShelterBox has a response team in Türkiye (formerly Turkey) gathering information from our local partners and contacts to see how large the need for emergency shelter will be, and to understand from the communities directly, how best we can help.

ShelterBox is an expert in disaster relief and has experience responding to earthquakes in Türkiye before, most notably the 2011 Van earthquake. We have also responded to earthquakes in Nepal, Haiti, Ecuador, Chili, and more.

ShelterBox provides shelter and other emergency house hold items to people who have lost their homes to disaster and conflict. ShelterBox provides affected people with tarpaulins and tools to build personalized structures, as well as blankets, solar lights, sleeping mats, kitchen set, hygiene kits, and more to help their recovery.
