Ending violence against women, children, youth and families in the Shuswap.
About SHUSWAP AREA FAMILY EMERGENCY SOCIETY
Providing a range of services to victims of violence including men, women and children. We have a Transition House (Women's Shelter), Stopping the Violence Program, Community Based Victim Services, PEACE Program for Children & Youth, Outreach Services, Police Based Victim Services and other community programs.
We offer support services 24 hours per day, 365 days of the year.
Our programs receive core funding from various government sources however we must fundraise annually to help continue to support those at risk of violence. Fundraising increases our capacity to keep up with an increasing demand for a continuum of services that include crisis intervention, supportive housing, healing/recovery, and prevention.
