About SILVER BAY BIBLE CAMP
Silver Bay Bible Camp is a non-denominational Christian boys and girls camp that is located west of Ashern, Manitoba on the shores of Lake Manitoba.
The camp was founded in 1939 by Jalmar (Sr.) and Ruth Erickson .The camp was a part of their missionary ministry to the people of Manitoba's Interlake region.
The camp operates for 3 weeks during the summer each year and accommodates 40 - 45 campers each week. The ages of the campers are between the ages of 6 and 15.
Activities
Silver Bay is like most summer camps when it comes to its activities. The main feature at our camp is of course the water, in this case Lake Manitoba. We spend a lot of time in the water swimming, tubing, water-skiing and fishing. As well, we play a lot of sports, have nature hikes, special activities, camp fires and of course Bible lessons and stories.
FUNDING:
Silver Bay's registration fee is only $1. Silver Bay is totally supported by donations from parents as well as people in the community.
