We are in schools, hospitals, long term care homes, women’s crisis centres, phone help lines, social planning councils, prisons, parishes, homes, looking after women and children, the poor, the sick and the elderly, the disabled and disadvantaged, serving others, that is, the “dear neighbour”, in accordance with the gifts and abilities of our Sisters. We continue our tradition of serving the dear neighbour through the actions of:
Serving in hospitals in Sudbury, North Bay, Elliot Lake and Thunder Bay.
Helping people overcome their addictions in treatment programs in Thunder Bay and Sudbury.
Providing long term care home and assisted living care in Thunder Bay and Sudbury.
Assisting with activities for the elderly as volunteers in nursing homes and homes for the aged.
Working in collaboration with the clergy and in parishes throughout Northern Ontario.
Offering retreats and spiritual direction to men and women in North Bay, Sudbury, Sault Ste. Marie and Thunder Bay.
Teaching young people at the secondary levels in Sault Ste. Marie and provide faith consultations.
Music Ministry.
Helping new Canadians and immigrants settle into new life in Northern Ontario.
Providing counselling services and bereavement support.
Utilizing leadership skills in various ministries such as L’Arche, Catholic Women’s League, hospitals and schools
