Our Sponsor a Senior program has been designed to help the most vulnerable members of our community receive the fresh, nutritious meals they need but can't afford! Surrey-North Delta Meals on Wheels provides and delivers these meals, Monday to Friday, to those who are unable to prepare adequate meals for themselves. Many of the residents in our catchments who require our service - seniors, disabled, homebound and health compromised individuals - cannot afford our meals and are in need of help from the community. With this program, we make it easy for you to help one (or more) vulnerable members of our community receive these meals! See below BECOME A SPONSOR for instructions.
DONATE TODAY in support of this program if you are unable to make a commitment to sponsorship. A donation of $241.50 can feed one client 5 meals a week for a whole month without any cost to the client! All donations to this fund will be used only to help a senior or other vulnerable member of our community receive the nutritious meals they need but cannot afford. BECOME A SPONSOR
It's easy to become a sponsor!
1. Call the office at 778-590-1433 or email us at sndmow@gmail.com to register to become a sponsor. (we will take your name, phone number and address and ask for your level of commitment)
2. We will match you with a vulnerable member of your community* (you may remain anonymous) or you may sponsor someone you know. Matches will be based on your commitment level and the priority level of the client.
3. We require a commitment of covering a portion of 50% or more of their monthly invoice for a minimum of 6 months!
*Anyone is eligible to become a sponsor whether you are an individual with extra funds, a business looking to give back to the community, or a group of coworkers, friends or family! All sponsors will be issued a tax receipt for your contributions as well as be mentioned on our website and social media if you wish!*
