The INDCP (International Network on the Disability Production Process) is the administrator of the Canadian Society for the I.C.I.D.H. which is a charity.

MISSION

The mission of the INDCP and the Canadian Society for the I.C.I.D.H. is to promote the most appropriate response to the needs of people with disabilities and impairments through the promotion, application and development of the conceptual framework for the Human Development Model - Disability Creation Process (DCP).

MANDATES

To carry out its mission, the INDCP has set the following objectives:

  • To develop knowledge of and expertise in the application and validation of the Human Development Model (HDM) and Disability Creation Process (DCP), which explain the causes and consequences of diseases, trauma, and other hazards to human integrity and development.
  • To disseminate knowledge, research, training and the application of the HDM-DCP, as well as on the personal factors and environment factors of social participation influencing those with disabilities.
  • To promote and enforce the human rights of people with disabilities in order to achieve optimal social participation in an inclusive society.
  • To set up an international network dedicated to the improvement and promotion of the HDM-DCP.
  • To develop classifications and information systems in the area of healthcare and social policy.
