The Sargeant Bay Society is a group of volunteers that assists BC Parks in maintaining trails within Sargeant Bay Provincial Park, as well as providing educational signage and activities relating to natural history of the various ecosystems found within and around the Park. We undertake stream maintenance activities, salmonid spawning monitoring, invasive plant control, etc for the benefit of the larger Sunshine Coast community in British Columbia, and the many visitors from beyond our ferry-isolated community.
The purpose of the Society is:
To promote conservation of the natural habitat of Sargeant Bay and neighbouring watersheds.
