We help our neighbours in need with food gift cards. The need is much greater this year and our funds are low. Please help if you can.
Our mission is "To live the Gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice and joy." We do this with the following:
Visits: we visit our neighbours in need in their homes to talk with them, to assess their needs and to provide gift cards for food. We help around 70 families throughout the year, many are single moms with kids. We've had to switch to ecards due to Covid.
Wellness Calls: we call our neighbours just to chat as many are single or isolated.
Fresh Food Box: Discontinued.
Furniture: We pick up donated furniture and deliver it to those who need it, including families that have just arrived from another country with very little. We continue to be very busy!
Backpack Program: We deliver Walmart gift cards to approximately 30 elementary and junior high school students in need of supplies so that they could start the year off right.
Christmas Angel Program: 40 to 50 families are helped with gift cards to buy presents and food for their children and themselves.
