About SOFIA House Inc.
SOFIA House is a long-term second-stage and third-stage shelter that walks alongside women, children, and families who are healing from interpersonal and domestic violence. We offer safe, fully furnished, pet friendly private apartments where families can breathe again, rebuild stability, and experience independent living in a supportive environment.
We currently provide 20 second stage units and 19 third stage suites, each designed to give families both privacy and connection. Our onsite team offers counselling, safety planning, harm reduction supports, Indigenous cultural programming, and children’s services, as well as referrals to community partners.
Our work is grounded in dignity, empowerment, and the belief that every family deserves the time and support they need to heal. At SOFIA House, families are met with compassion, respect, and a community that walks beside them as they reclaim their lives and move toward long term safety and wellness.
