Are you familiar with the term “separated youth refugee”? They are youth between 16-24 years old that have fled some of the most war-torn, impoverished places in the world to escape unlawful persecution.
These youth leave their families behind to seek solace and protection in Canada as refugee claimants. They arrive with no contacts, family or friends.
As you can imagine, these youth face extraordinary challenges while integrating into a new society and getting accustomed to a Canadian school system.
You can help support their journey by donation to help provide:
- School supplies
- Transportation costs
- Field trip fees
- College and University Application fees
