Solidarité Laurentides Amérique centrale (SLAM) is an international solidarity organization based in Saint-Jérôme and has been active in the Laurentian region for over 30 years. Our activities extend to several municipalities in the Laurentians, where we work to develop solidarity between the local population and the peoples of Central America.

SLAM is a democratic organization governed by a Board of Directors (BOD) composed of seven people elected by our members at the Annual General Meeting held in early fall. Our mission is twofold:

To develop solidarity between the people of the Laurentians and the people of Central America: We strongly believe in the importance of creating links of solidarity between the people of the Laurentians and the communities of Central America. We organize various activities, events and projects aimed at raising awareness, informing and mobilizing our community to support the peoples of Central America in their struggles and aspirations.

Supporting community development projects in collaboration with other organizations from here and the South: We work closely with partner organizations in Central America to support sustainable and autonomous development projects.

Join us in our commitment to promote solidarity, cooperation and sustainable development between the Laurentians and Central America. Together we can make a significant difference in the lives of local communities and contribute to a more just and equitable world.
