THE SOOKE AUTISM SUPPORT SOCIETY (SASS)
We are a group of proactive parents working collaboratively with family, neighbours, community, education & autism professionals, school districts, government, and private associations to create a happy, healthy and successful life for their children with Autism.
HOW WE SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITY
We support our families through a variety of meaningful initiatives to assist with their unique Autism Journey:
* Monthly Caregiver Education & Support Meetings
* Monthly Drop-In for Individual Mentoring & Caregiver Support
* A variety of inclusive family-friendly events throughout the year including Sensory Santa, Festival of Trees, Family Swim Nights & More!
* Sibshops Support Groups for siblings of those with special needs
* EMCS Scholarships - One for an individual who supports the positive inclusion of those with special needs at home, school or in the community AND one for an individual with special needs planning for their next chapter.
* Easter Seals Summer Camp Grant
* Lending Library with a variety of resources including, books, learning tools, videos, games, etc.
