For the last 13 years Sooke has not had a seniors centre. Socializing improves mental health, decreases risk of dementia and helps maintains physical ability. The intergenerational component gives youth a sense of being part of the community. We are building an activity centre for seniors that will include a community kitchen and  provide seniors' and intergenerational programs. This legacy will be there for Sooke Region youth and seniors for generations to come.
