About SOOKE OPTIONS FOR COMMUNITY LIVING ASSOCIATION
SOCLA was proud to celebrate its 10th Anniversary in 2008!
SOCLA began as a group of local parents, educators & caregivers. We were excited at the prospect of providing programs in our own area for families with children & adults with developmental and physical disabilities. In Oct. 1998, SOCLA was incorporated and registered as a non-profit organization. Over the years our Board of Directors, members & employees have worked together to establish a variety of programs. Our programs include the Coastal Reflections Adult Day Program and Journeys Camps & Life Skills Programs for children, youth & teens, as well as Individual Life Skills Programs. SOCLA is currently supporting 7 adults & up to 23 children, youth and teens in our various programs. The focus of our programs is community based which means that the participants not only have the opportunity to participate in community activities but also to contribute to the community through volunteer work & employment placements.
