South Peel Naturalists' Club (SPNC) has been serving the Mississauga and Oakville area since 1952. SPNC holds field trips throughout the year and monthly meetings with guest speakers from September to April. It's charitable purposes are:
- to acquire and disseminate knowledge of natural history,
- to protect and preserve wildlife,
- to stimulate public interest in nature and its preservation,
- to encourage an understanding of people’s place in nature, and
- to support provincial and national associations of naturalists.
