The Spanky Project expanded to Trinidad in December 2018. In September we will return to Trinidad with our Havana Team to work with and train local veterinarians and veterinary students in our protocols. Students from the Veterinary School in Sancti Spiritus will once again join us as will several local veterinarians. These vets and students will comprise the new Spanky Project Team Trinidad when this training is completed and the rest of our "core: team returns to Havana. The Trinidad team will continue sterilizing animals through "mini campañas" using supplies and medications we will provide to them. We are raising funds to purchase anaesthesia, medications and supplies for 350 sterilizations.Our goal for the September Mass Sterilization Campaña is 250 surgeries in 5 days. Five days of intensive training, education and surgery.  We hope to leave anaesthesia, medications and supplies for another 100 animals behind in Trinidad for mini campañas conducted by the new Spanky Project Team Trinidad... We are preparing for the future and sustainability.
