About SPCA DE LA MONTEREGIE (SOCIETE POUR LA PREVENTION DE LA CRUA
SPCA Montérégie was established in 1989 and it is the FIRST NO-KILL shelter in the province of Québec. We do not euthanize healthy adoptable animals. We are also the FIRST SPCA in Québec to implement the practice of mandatory sterilization prior to adoption.
Our dogs and cats are not confined to cages; the dogs have large fenced areas outdoors where they are free to run and play, the cats are housed in spacious bright rooms with access to outdoor enclosure. At the SPCA Montérégie, we rehabilitate animals so that they can have a second chance at love. Since 1989, we have rescued thousands of animals.
We are not government funded and rely solely on the generosity of people like you to provide our animals with the care they need. We are a registered charity and membership fees and donations are tax deductible.
Who we are: adoptions, foster homes, sponsorship program, pet responsibility and bite prevention program.
