Our mission is to prevent and reduce the spread of sexually transmitted and blood- transmitted infections (STBBIs), human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis C virus (HCV), and overdoses. Through humanistic interventions and a harm reduction approach, we offer a range of services and initiatives in the field. Spectre de rue also works to raise awareness, educate, and mobilize its community and the people it serves. To do so, we welcome people as they are, respecting their pace and fostering trust. Through follow-up, interventions, and support, we aim to empower people so that they are equipped to meet their needs and adopt healthy, safe, and responsible behaviors. This work is made possible by our programs, which include: the fixed site, the supervised consumption service (SCS), the substance verification service, the TAPAJ program (alternative work paid by the day), street work, community work, the peer support project, and the housing project.
