Our Mission
The Spiritual Emergence Service aims to provide compassionate, inclusive, non-judgmental and free-of-charge support to individuals who are experiencing challenging spiritual processes.
Spiritual Emergence (SE) refers to the awakening of the spiritual potential within an individual that initiates the unfolding and expansion of that individual's way of being.
Spiritual Emergence has the dual nature of being potentially deeply healing as well as potentially deeply disturbing.
SE may also be referred to as Kundalini awakening (KA), shamanic journey, dark night of the soul, near-death experience (NDE), out-of-body experience (OBE), or mystical experience.
SE is a natural process, however when this process occurs rapidly or becomes very intense it can seem disruptive and out of context with everyday life, precipitating a personal crisis which is referred to as a Spiritual Emergency.

The Spiritual Emergence Service provides free information, support and therapist referrals for people experiencing spiritual emergence or spiritual crisis.
The aim of SES is to support the individual by providing access to alternative holistic healing professionals and increasing community awareness.
The Spiritual Emergence Service runs a 24-hour phone support and referral service for people experiencing spiritual crisis.
Our website includes a referral directory of experienced and licensed therapists across Canada and internationally, as well as information about spiritual emergence, a resource directory and e-mail support.
All services are provided free of charge to the consumer and the therapists who are listed on our referral list.
