About Squamish Community Foundation
The Squamish Community Foundation is an independent, charitable organization dedicated to enriching the quality of life for the community members of Squamish. The foundation was created in 2003 to meet the needs of our growing community through the establishment of a locally-based long term institution. We manage funds given to us by donors in our community and distribute the income from those endowed funds to local registered charities for community projects.
Squamish Community Foundation belongs to the Community Foundations of Canada, a group of 191 community foundations across Canada. The Squamish Community Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors which is made up of community leaders who are Squamish residents and whose carried backgrounds are intended to be representative of Squamish’s diversity.
