SSG was established in August 1991 as a cooperative of families who had a vision of their children living in their communities.
The cooperative was organized to serve and advocate for persons with a disability and to provide the supports necessary for them to live in the community, while maintaining personal choice and control.
We now have around 130 members, 49 living in the Halifax area, 49 members in the Annapolis Valley, and 32 in Bridgewater. We are growing every day,we now have a large, well trained support staff team:139 employees and 18 coordinators.
