For over 60 years, St. Gerard’s Roman Catholic Church in southwest Calgary has provided a space for individuals and families to come together to express their faith.
St. Gerard's has been described as a contemporary faith community, a hospitable faith community, and a very pastoral faith community. All are welcome: from young families to the most senior of seniors, singles, married, divorced and widowed.
Borrowing a thought of Charles Schultz [Peanuts creator], perhaps our theology/spirituality might be described in this way: the best theology is just to love one another! And to love one another as Jesus loved is to take care of one another, especially those most disadvantaged: the sick, the suffering, the poor, the excluded.
