Join us in serving our neighbours, living out that gospel charge to love...not just God, but our neighbours and ourselves. The Community of St. James is committed to finding those places in our world where God is already at work and is calling us to come alongside.
To date, we answer that call by feeding the hungry (Centre Wellington Meals-to-Go), by visiting the lonely, unwell, or isolated (Compassion & Care Program), and by helping seniors and those with physical challenges stay in their homes and get help with landscaping and small maintenance tasks (Home Alone...& Happy). We also invest deeply in a "green" spirit of community... we host the first (and largest) Community Garden in Centre Wellington, we support fledgling community garden startups, and — this year — we will have a hay bale garden project delivering balcony-sized gardens to those with a small space but big desire to "grow their own."
