We are St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church.  Our church is located in New Dundee, Ontario and was founded in 1859. We are a proud member of the Eastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada.

Our congregation includes families from local cities and towns including Ayr, Baden, Bright, Cambridge, Kitchener, New Dundee, New Hamburg, Plattsville, and Waterloo.

Our regular support programs include welcoming youth from the local community to faith events. This year's big event was a trip to PEI where 11 youth were strengthened in their faith through worship, community, and service to others, as well as lots of fun and joy. We also started a new area wide confirmation program that is outward focus which means we support our community and learn how to volunteer. We maintain other ministries like Christmas Good Cheer Baskets for people in need, property maintenance, and of course worship every Sunday at 10:00am.

One of the many ways we reach out to the community is through our prayer blankets. This year we have prayed over, knitted and blessed approximately 50 prayer blankets that have changed lives. We often receive letters stating how these blankets bring comfort, healing, and a feeling of love and blessing.
