St. John Ambulance has played an essential role in the fabric of Alberta’s health and safety community since 1897. Each year our highly skilled volunteers contribute thousands of hours of first aid coverage at events across the province.
Why is a new vehicle important?
At each event that St John Ambulance Volunteer First Aid Responders attend, properly outfitted vehicles are critical to the continuum of care in case of an emergency:
- Ensure the safe transportation of volunteers equipment and supplies, to and from events.
- Act as a visible point of contact for individuals requiring first aid or CPR at events, enabling them to receive assistance from trained responders and access necessary equipment.
- Serve as the primary vehicle for deploying our volunteer teams to provide aid to those in need during environmental emergencies and disasters.
