St. John Ambulance has played an essential role in the fabric of Alberta’s health and safety community since 1897. Each year our highly skilled volunteers contribute thousands of hours of first aid coverage at events across the province.

With our current fleet nearing the end of an extended lifespan, and which no longer meets the needs of our Volunteer First Aid Responder teams, we are looking to our community partners and champions for help purchasing a new vehicle.

Why is a new vehicle important?

At each event that St John Ambulance Volunteer First Aid Responders attend, properly outfitted vehicles are critical to the continuum of care in case of an emergency. The new vehicle will:

• Allow for safe transport to and from the event for our volunteers
• Store and house life-saving equipment such as spine boards, AEDs, and oxygen
• Ensure the safe transportation of equipment from location to location
• Act as a beacon for those who require first aid or CPR at events we attend to find help

2022 is the 125th anniversary of the establishment of St John in Alberta. As we look towards the future, and another 125 years of serving Albertans and those they care about, we are grateful for your support in making our goal for a new community service vehicle a reality.
